I’m drawn to the patterns found in nature, in my paintings I explore organic forms using natural materials that I find, like earths, clays and minerals, this process connects me to the land.
About the Lifelines series:
Water, a lifeline for countless ecosystems, carries stories within its flow, and as well as nutrients it often carries pollution.
And like the land carries rivers and oceans, we too are vessels of water, moving and shaping ourselves with each experience. Our DNA, like the riverbed, holds the imprint of our ancestors, shaping who we are.
With these series I am attempting to speak of the connection between the prints water leaves in the land and the prints we leave for the next generations, whether in the land or in ourselves.
